The war ended in 1945, but the supply of oil products did not recover quickly enough. In order to support the living of the employees, the company made pans out of the soldier's iron helmets and sold them as a temporary means of survival. In 1947, a warehouse and a logistic center (now Kaneda Butsuryu Co. Ltd.) were built on the bank of Sumida River where river barges could dock. In 1948, realizing the limitations of being a privately-owned shop, Kaneda Oil Shop was changed to Kaneda Shoten Co. Ltd., an incorporated company with 1.5 million yen capital, and Katsuji Kaneda became its first president. Today Kaneda's capital is 150 million yen.
For a period after the war, Kaneda manufactured and marketed sports oil and pomade utilizing its experience in trading oils. At one point Kaneda became a royal supplier when the Imperial Household Agency purchased sports oils from us.
